Things to do
Free printables to make and do together.
Put on your own show
In The Big Show, Omar makes everything he needs out of things around the house. You can too.
- Make the tickets. Cut small cards from paper and write the name of your show on each one.
- Set out the seats. Line up chairs or cushions for your audience.
- Dress for the part. A towel makes a good cape. What else could you use?
What kind of show would you put on?
Check your bike, like Omar
In Omar Learns to Ride a Bike, Omar keeps practicing until he rides all by himself. Before every ride, check that you and your bike are ready: helmet on, bright clothes, firm tires, and brakes that work.
Color Omar’s day at the park
A coloring page drawn just for this site: Omar waving hello in the park, with a smiling sun, a butterfly, a bench and flowers to color. More coloring pages are on the way.
Copy a verse a day
Older children can practice handwriting with the Beautiful Words copywork workbooks — one short verse or saying a page, with a question to think about and something to go and do.
